Sweden International Horse Show attracted record attendance at Friends Arena
4 Dec 2014
Immediate success was achieved when Sweden International Horse Show took place for the first time at Friends Arena in Solna.
The total attendance of 84,854 spectators at the weekend event beat the previous record of 77,000 from 2003.
This year’s Sweden International Horse Show got off to a flying start on Thursday with one of the biggest new attractions of the year – the international indoor equestrian event. For the first time in Sweden, the action-packed event was moved indoors and it immediately became a Swedish success when Niklas Lindbäck, riding Mister Pooh, was victorious in front of the enthusiastically cheering spectators.
The weekend also offered a number of other exciting competitions and spectacular shows, with winners including Swedish riders Peder Fredricsson and Tinne Vilhelmsson-Silfvén who were each able to leave the Friends Arena with a brand new Volkswagen car.
Sweden International Horse Show will also return to Friends Arena in 2015, on the first of advent, as per tradition.
